Page 2 col. 4IN CITY OVER 50 YEARS. MRS. ELIZABETH HEATON, who came to Iowa in ’48, died here Sunday…..Born in Zanesville, Ohio Apr. 6, 1826, daughter of JUDGE TELLIS and wife, one of the brightest Lutheran ministers of his day. On Aug. 5, 1846 she was united in marriage to ALFRED PARKER HEATON at Senecaville, Ohio…Twelve children, five of whom are living: MRS. J. J. GIBSON, MISSES ELIZABETH and STELLA of this city; CHARLES L. of San Antonio, Texas, and ALFRED of near this city. In December 1876 MR. HEATON passed away. Seven children have passed over the river of death and with the father have awaited their mother’s coming. They are SILAS, who died in Libertyville; SARAH THOMPSON of Long Beach, Calif., and MRS. CATHERINE MCWILLIAMS of Columbus, Ohio and one brother, PERRY TELLIS of Long Beach, Calif., survive MRS. HEATON…..
