Dorothy Eleanor RODIBAUGH, age 93, formerly of Fairfield, passed away November 23, 2017, at Bartels Lutheran Retirement Community in Waverly, Iowa (note: in Bremer Co., IA).

A graveside memorial service will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, November 28, 2017, at Evergreen Cemetery in Fairfield, IA, with Reverend Beth Harbaugh officiating.

A gathering for family and friends will follow the graveside service at the First United Methodist Church in Fairfield, IA.

Memorials can be made to the First United Methodist Church in Fairfield, or Bartels Lutheran Chaplin Fund in Waverly. Per Dorothy's wishes her body was cremated.

Dorothy was born June 24, 1924, in Libertyville, IA to Raymond and Ruth (CARLSON) SWANSON. She married Earl "Gordy" RODIBAUGH August 10, 1943, in Libertyville, IA. He died September 26, 2009. They celebrated 66 years of marriage before Earl "Gordy" died.

Dorothy lived most of her life in the Jefferson county area. She attended the Business school in Ottumwa after graduation. Dorothy worked for Dr. Watson as a bookkeeper and receptionist, for 15 years and retired 1985. She moved to Waverly, IA. in 2003. Her community interest included being a member of PEO, Tri T, American Legion Aux., United Methodist Women, and a member of First United Methodist Church. Her most valued interest revolved around her family.

Dorothy is survived by one daughter, Cindy RECTOR and husband Dan of Waverly, IA; one son, Douglas and wife Deb of Littleton, CO; 6 grandchildren and spouses, Tim and Melissa RECTOR of Ankeny, IA, Kent and Stacey RECTOR of Mediapolis, IA, Nick and Meagan RECTOR of Ankeny, IA, Scott and Jessie RODIBAUGH of Littleton, Kurt RODIBAUGH of Littleton, CO, and Alexandra and Tyler LINDSTROM of Hawaii; Great grandchildren, Isabella and Addyson RECTOR, Ruby RODIBAUGH, and Atticus LINDSTROM.

Dorothy was preceded by her parents, husband.
