RODIBAUGH, Earl 'Gordy' Gordon -- Earl "Gordy" Gordon RODIBAUGH, 86, formerly of Fairfield, died Saturday, Sept. 26, 2009, at Allen Hospital in Waterloo.

A graveside memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Evergreen Cemetery, with the Rev. Dave Peterson officiating. The body will be cremated.

A family visitation and luncheon will follow Tuesday's inurnment at First United Methodist Church in Fairfield.

Memorials may be made to First United Methodist Church of Fairfield or Bartels Retirement Community Chaplaincy of Waverly. Cards of sympathy and memorials may be sent to 1804 Fifth St. NW, Eichorn Haus, Apt. No. 301, Waverly 50677.

Mr. RODIBAUGH was born Dec. 9, 1922, in Centralia, Mo., the son of Charles and Hattie HORN RODIBAUGH. He married Dorothy SWANSON in 1943 in Libertyville.

Mr. RODIBAUGH graduated from Libertyville High School and University of Wisconsin School of Banking. He was employed at First National Bank of Fairfield from 1948 until he retired as president in 1985. He and his wife moved to the Bartels Retirement Community in Waverly in September 2003.

Mr. RODIBAUGH served in the United States Army Air Corps from 1941 to 1945 and was called back to active duty with the United States Air Force in 1950.

He served on the Iowa Bankers Association Board of Directors and was chairman of Group 11 for southeast Iowa. He was a member of First United Methodist Church, American Legion, Eagles Club and Walton Club.

Mr. RODIBAUGH enjoyed reading and spending time with family. He was a St. Louis Cardinals fan.

Survivors include his whife; two children, Cindy RECTOR and husband Dan of Waverly and Doug RODIBAUGH and wife Deb of Littleton, Colo.; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; five brothers; and two sisters.
