Kim ADAM, age 69 of Fairfield, passed away Friday, November 24, 2017 at Sunnybrook Living Care Center.

Kim ADAM, 69, a long-time resident of Fairfield, Iowa, passed away with her husband of 47 years by her side on Friday, November 24, 2017, at 1:40 AM after a long battle with Alzheimer's Disease.

Visitation is set for Wednesday, November 29, 5-7 pm at St. Mary Catholic Church in Fairfield, with prayer service at 4:45 p.m. The funeral will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, November 30 also at St. Mary with Father Nick Adam officiating. After the service, she will be cremated and burial of cremains will be at a later date at Evergreen Cemetery. Memorial gifts will be donated to the Alzheimer's Association of Greater Iowa.

Born in Iowa Falls, Iowa, on November 9, 1948, to Wendell and Jean STONER of Alden, Iowa, Kim (STONER) ADAM, graduated from Ackley-Geneva High School in 1966. She graduated from Ellsworth Jr. College in 1968, and worked as an Executive Secretary at Harper Brush in Fairfield, Iowa, from 1968 through 1973.

Kim married Gary ADAM on February 7, 1970, at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Fairfield. They had three children. In addition to assisting her husband on the farm, she worked for two years at Farm Bureau Insurance. She then worked as the Office and Warehouse Manager with her husband in their seed and shuttle business for 20 years. Kim returned to school in 2005, graduating with honors with a degree in medical transcription.

Kim was a talented artist and writer. She painted beautiful ceramics and was famous among friends and family for her annual Christmas letters and poems. She enjoyed bowling, traveling, being on the water in the summer and camping at the Iowa State Fair for 30 years. She loved playing cards, entertaining, and decorating her home for the holidays. Kim was an avid reader and liked watching movies and studying history. She could often be found outside of their home on the farm, walking with her Labrador Retrievers. Kim was especially proud of her children and grandchildren. Kim lived fully, laughed loudly, gave generously and loved completely.

She is survived by her husband, Gary ADAM, her brother Jim (Terri) STONER, and sister Kay (STONER) McCOY. She is also survived by her children Jackie SORENSON, Brad (Gina) ADAM, and Tyler (fiancé Brittney CRAWFORD) ADAM. She also has two beloved grandchildren, Erica LACK and Alina ADAM. She was preceded in death by her parents.
