Judith A. "Judy" Runyan, 60, of La Porte City, died Thursday, Jan. 13, 2005, at Allen Memorial Hospital in Waterloo.

The funeral was held Jan. 17, at St. Paul United Methodist Church in La Porte City.

Huisman Funeral Home in La Porte City was in charge of arrangements.

Memorials may be made to the family.

Mrs. Runyan was born Jan. 31, 1944, in Fairfield, the daughter of William and Dorothy Knauss Wright. She married Ronald Runyan in May 1962 in La Porte City.

She attended grade school in Fairfield and Fairfield High School through her junior year. She graduated from La Porte City High School in 1962 and worked at This & That Gift Shop along with baby-sitting in La Porte City.

She was a member of St. Paul United Methodist Church.

Survivors include her husband of La Porte City; one son Scott and wife Nancy Runyan of Evansdale; one daughter, Staci Devick and husband Matt of Reinbeck; and three sisters, Karen Tarrance, Toni Meester and Lisa Appleton, all of La Porte City.

She was preceded in death by her parents.
