Frances "Dolly" Doreen McINTIRE

Frances "Dolly" Doreen McINTIRE, age 83 of Fairfield, passed away Friday, November 3, 2017, at Sunnybrook Living Care Center, surrounded by family.

Visitation for family & friends will be 10:00 am - 11:00 am, Wednesday, November 8, 2017, at Behner Funeral Home, with Pastor Danny Cary officiating. Burial will be at Memorial Lawn Cemetery.

Memorials can be made to Hospice Compassus or Sunnybrook Activity Fund. Cards and memorials can be mailed to: Joni MANNING, 301 E. Adams Ave., Fairfield, Iowa 52556.

Dolly was born September 17, 1934, to Walter L. and Carmen D. (BRIDGEMAN) CROSS. She married Kenneth M. McINTIRE September 17, 1956, in Fairfield, IA. He passed away February 7, 1990.

Dolly was a homemaker and had various part time jobs. She loved cooking, baking, sewing, playing bingo and while at Sunnybrook, she was known as a "social butterfly". Most important to Dolly was spending time with her family.

Left to share Dolly's memories are her 3 children, Joni (Chris) MANNING and Toni HILL both of Fairfield and Kris (Grace Dailey) McINTIRE of Arlington, VA; 7 grandchildren, Chad MANNING, Kara PARISH, Mathew HILL, Ashley HILL-OZDEMIR, Christopher McINTIRE, Elizabeth McINTIRE and Brandon ROSS; 6 great grandchildren; and 3 siblings, Charles "Bud" (Bette) CROSS of Grand Junction, CO, Connie (Tony) HARRIS of Scottsdale, AZ and Carol WELLS of Monroe WI.

Dolly was preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Carmen CROSS; her husband, Kenneth McINTIRE; one daughter, Sharon ROSS; one brother, Phil CROSS; one sister-in-law, Marilyn CROSS; and one brother-in-law, Marvin WELLS.

Dolly's family would like to thank Sunnybrook and Hospice Compassus for the gentle care they gave our Mom.
