MISS SCANNELL DIES SUDDENLY. ANNA T. SCANNELL, well known resident of this community and a dress maker for several years, passed away at 4:45 a. m. today at the Griffin Nursing Home…ANNA T. SCANNELL was born March 16, 1868, in New York. She was the daughter of the late F. G. and ABIGAIL CASEY SCANNELL. When a small girl she came to Jefferson County where she spent practically her entire life. Member of St. Mary’s Catholic church. Never married. Survived by four brothers: R. M. SCANNELL, Oklahoma; HUGH A. SCANNELL, Mt. Pleasant; EMMETT SCANNELL, Des Moines; and PAUL SCANNELL, Iowa City. Several nieces and nephews also survive. A sister, MRS. DOROTHY THOMA, preceded her in death.
