Carma Jeanne BOLLINGER age 76, of Fairfield, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family, Friday, September 08, 2017 at Sunnybrook Living Care Center in Fairfield.

A Celebration of Life will be 11.am. (sic) Saturday, September 16, 2017 at the Hedrick United Methodist Church with Pastor Tim Schoepf officiating. Burial will be at Mt. Zion Cemetery at a later date (note: in Keokuk Co., IA).

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hedrick/Martinsburg United Methodist Church, 203 N. Spring Street, PO Box 197, Hedrick, IA 52563.

Carma was born January 31, 1941, to Cecil "Pete" and Eva (GRADE) ECHELBERRY in Keokuk, County. She married John (Jack) BOLLINGER, August 4, 1961 in Burlington, IA. They were blessed with three children: John Robert, Sarah Jean and Julie. Years later they divorced.

Carma graduated from Hedrick High School, class of 1960. She attended Iowa School of Beauty in Ottumwa, IA graduating in1961 (sic). For over 25 years Carma worked at Washington Manufacturing. She was a huge fan of the Pekin Girls Cross Country and Track teams. She never missed her daughter's conference, district, state or Drake Relay meets. Her grandkids brought her much joy, she enjoyed all their activities and sports as well. Carma enjoyed crocheting, knitting, sewing, watching movies and was an avid reader.

Left to honor her memory is her three children and their families. Son Rob and wife, (Michelle) BOLLINGER of Hedrick, IA. Daughter Jeannie and husband (Shane) PALMER of Fairfield, IA their daughters, Megan PALMER of Overland Park, KS and Paige PALMER of Des Moines, IA. Daughter Julie and husband (Lt. Col Kirk) BERGGREN, USAF RET of Overland Park, KS Taylor (Chris) ROESCH of Olathe, KS, 2nd Lt. Jacob BERGGREN, USAF of Aviano, Italy and Eli BERGGREN of Overland Park, KS. Her mother, Eva ECHELBERRY; three sisters, Virginia BIFORE of Arlington, VA, Patsy SIMMONS of Fairfield, IA, and Martha (Lynn) SWEARINGEN of Richland, IA; and one brother, Stanley (Barb) ECHELBERRY of Hedrick, IA. and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father, Pete ECHELBERRY; infant brother, Francis; and three brothers in law's (sic), Vaughn BALL, John BIFORE and Bruce SIMMONS.

A special thank you to the Doctors and staff of Jefferson County Health Center, Medical Arts Clinic, Sunnybrook Living Care Center, and Hospice for the care and compassion shown to our Mother for the past 10 years.
