Donald D "Pete" WICKLIFF Jr

Donald D. "Pete" WICKLIFF Jr. entered heavens gates July 18, 2017. Met by his children, Kim, Brad, & Gina (HUGUNIN), Brother, Bill, Sister, Pat CASSAT, and his Parents Don and Hazel WICKLIFF.

Pete was born April 3, 1932 in Sigourney, Iowa. He married his high school sweetheart Ferne HEADLEY WICKLIFF on May 11, 1952.

Pete was a graduate of Fairfield High School in 1950 where he lettered in both Football, Basketball and Baseball. He served in the Korean War (sic - Korean Conflict) from 1952-1954. He was a member of the Elks Club, VFW, Walton Club, American Legion and the First United Methodist Church.

Pete lived and farmed east of Fairfield until 1987, they then moved to Suburban Heights where they now reside. He was a livestock dealer, farmer, auctioneer, and Wickliff Real Estate owner. Pete enjoyed fishing, boots, cars, cigars and going to the casino. He also enjoyed traveling to see his grandchildren excel in sports and academics.

He is survived by his wife of 65 years Ferne HEADLEY WICKLIFF, Daughter Cindy (Scott) WISECARVER, Son in-law Jeff HUGUNIN, Grandsons Ryan (Kassaundra) WISECARVER, Shane (Brooke) WISECARVER, Grady HUGUNIN, Granddaughter Darby HUGUNIN and Great Granddaughter Eisleigh WISECARVER.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Iowa Donor Network (Organ Donor), First United Methodist Church (Fairfield) or a memorial of Donor's Choice.

Visitation for family & friends will be 5:00 pm - 6:30 pm, Friday, July 21, 2017 at Behner Funeral Home.

Funeral service will be 10:00 am, Saturday, July 22, 2017 at First United Methodist Church with Reverend Beth Harbaugh officiating. Burial will be at Evergreen Cemetery.
