Clyde Rapp, 73, of Des Moines, died Saturday, Jan. 8, 2005, in Weslaco, Texas.

The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Friday at New Hope United Methodist Church in Des Moines. Burial will be in Glendale Cemetery in Des Moines.

The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. today at Hamilton's Funeral Home in Des Moines.

Memorials can be made to New Hope United Methodist Church.

Mr. Rapp was born April 30, 1931, in Buxton, the son of Garrett and Marie Rapp.

He retired as a district manager at Thermagas of Mapco in Richland.

Survivors include his wife, Marilyn Rapp of Des Moines; two daughters, Shirley Blankenship and husband Gary of West Des Moines and Karen Kehoe and husband Tom of Windsor Heights; three grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Geraldine Peck of Fairfield and Alice Burke of Oskaloosa.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and one sister.
