Daisy Mae MILLER, 86, of Ottumwa, died early today, Thursday, June 15, 2017, at Ottumwa Regional Health Center in Ottumwa (note: in Wapello Co., IA).
Arrangements are pending at Pedrick Funeral Home in Douds.

Daisy Mae MILLER, 86, of Ottumwa died at 1:51 a.m. Thursday, June 15, 2017, at Ottumwa Regional Health Center.
The funeral is 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Pedrick Funeral Home in Douds, with the Rev. Mel Kendall officiating. Burial will be in Leando Cemetery in Douds (note: in Van Buren Co., IA).
Visitation opens at 3 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, with family present 5-7 p.m.
Memorials to Leando Cemetery can be left at the funeral home or mailed to the family at 113 E. Vine St., Ottumwa 52501.
Mrs. MILLER was born Jan. 4, 1931, in New Mexico to Lonnie and Elsie COLLINS WYMER. She married Ronald COX. They divorced. She married Harry MILLER Oct. 18, 1969, in Lancaster, Missouri. He died March 8, 2003.
While Mrs. MILLER was in grade school, the family moved to a farm south of Douds and she attended Douds-Leando School. They then moved to a farm near Pittsburg, and she graduated from Keosauqua High School in 1949.
The MILLERs lived their married life in Ottumwa. Mrs. MILLER was a nurse's aide, worked 34 years in Ottumwa Hospital, and retired in May 1993.
She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Ottumwa.
Survivors include: sons Gary COX (Juanita) of Bloomfield and Danny COX of Ottumwa; daughter Bonnie BRADLEY (Lloyd) of Wichita, Kansas; stepdaughter Gloria Jean MILLER of Wichita, Kansas; 16 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by: stepson, Danny MILLER; two grandchildren; sister Thelma WYMER; and brothers Raymond, Floyd, Leo, Earl and Daniel WYMER.
