James C. FORD

James C. FORD, 71, of rural Fairfield, died Thuesday, June 6, 2017, at his home.

A memorial service and celebration of life is 2-4 p.m. Saturday at Four Square Church, with the Rev. Jim Cecil officiating.

Memorials can be made to the family or St. Jude's Children's Hospital.

Raymond Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Mr. FORD was born Nov. 15, 1945, in Fairfield to Max Julian and Eva Mae BOYLE FORD. He married Linda SCHMIDT Feb. 24, 1968, at Birmingham United Methodist Church.

Mr. FORD lived most his life in the Fairfield-Birmingham community. He graduated from Fairfield High School in 1963.

He served in the U.S. Army from 1965-1967.

He worked as a machinist and in shipping at Rockwell in Fairfield for 33 years.

Upon retirement, he worked at Casey's South in Fairfield making pizzas.

His pastimes included fishing, racoon hunting, gardening and playing cards.

Survivors include: his wife Linda; daughters Marcia (Tim MURPHY) of Blaine, Minnesota, Lorraine (Josh) GALLERICK of Mt. Pleasant, Pam (Dwayne) REGUR and Crissi FORD of Fairfield; son Robert (Nicole) FORD of Packwood; 12 grandchildren; and sister Linda WILLIAMS of Birmingham.

He was preceded in death by: his parents; sister Anne BOYSEN; one grandson; brothers Max Jr. and Thomas FORD.
