The funeral of William DeSPAIN who died yesterday morning at Mt. Pleasant will be held Sunday afternoon at two-thirty o'clock at the home of his father, William DeSPAIN Sr., on West Jefferson street, and burial will be in Evergreen cemetery. The services will be in charge of Rev. R. H. Polly.

Death came to Mr. DeSPAIN at the Mt. Pleasant hospital about nine o'clock Friday morning. He was taken to the hospital Tuesday and had been in a serious condition until death. He had lived in Burlington for the past three years and had worked in various capacities in that city. It is thought his death was due to a blow he received on the head while working in a cellar about a year ago. Since that time he has been in poor helath, a clot of blood forming and causing a pressure on his brain.

William DeSPAIN was born in Henry county about forty-three years ago. He leaves to mourn his death, his wife, four daughters Elva, Marie, Mildred and Lucille, one son Glenn, and his father and mother, Mr. and Mrs. William DeSPAIN Sr. Also seven brothers, James, of Fort Madison, George of Springfield, Winton of Galesburg, Theodore, Peter and Joseph of Fairfield, four sisters, Mrs. MAXWELL of Galesburg, Mrs. GRAHAM of Ottumwa, Mrs. PICKETT, Mrs. MANARY, and Mrs. McINTIRE of Fairfield.
