Charles Fredrick Neff
January 10, 2005Charles Fredrick Neff, 89, of Fairfield, died at 10:15 a.m., Friday, Jan. 7, 2005, at Mercy Hospital in Iowa City.
The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Behner Funeral Home, with the Rev. Connie Markle officiating. Burial will be in North Hill Cemetery in Wayland.
Memorials can be made to the Alzheimer's Association.

Mr. Neff was born Aug. 28, 1915, in Wayland, the son of Fredrick and Clara Wood Neff. He married June Rosemond Dempsey Oct. 22, 1938, in Kahoka, Mo.
He lived most of his life in Fairfield. He was employed by the Civilian Conservation Corps program, Louden Machinery Company and as an electrician for ANR Pipeline, from which he retired in 1978.
Mr. Neff was a deacon of First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) and sang in the choir. He was a member of Clinton Masonic Lodge AF & AM No. 15.
Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Kathy Neff of Olatha, Kan., and Judy Snyder and husband Eugene of Keosauqua; two grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and one sister, Liz Wenger of Salina, Kan.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, Jean Goff and one in infancy.
