Florence E. CORNELIUS, 90, of Fairfield, died today, Wednesday, March 22, 2017, at Jefferson County Health Center.

Funeral arrangements are pending at Raymond Funeral Home in Fairfield.

Florence Ellen CORNELIUS

Florence Ellen CORNELIUS, age 90 of Fairfield, died Wednesday morning March 22nd at the Jefferson County Health Center in Fairfield.

Florence was born October 22, 1926 at Packwood, the daughter of Oscar and Marie QUACKENBUSH HAYNES.

She grew up in Bentonsport and lived in Keosauqua before moving to Fairfield in 1952.

She had attended school in Bentonsport and Bonaparte.

Florence married John Henry CORNELIUS in 1947 at Kahoka, MO. He preceded her in death on December 25, 1986.

Florence worked as sales clerk at Sears store in Fairfield for 35 years.

Deceased family members include her husband, 1 son Michael CORNELIUS in 2009, her parents and 5 brothers and 7 sisters.

Surviving are her daughter Judy (Ed) HOLMER of Tannersville, PA, 1 son Jerry (Vicki) CORNELIUS of Marionville, MO, her daughter-in-law Debbie CORNELIUS of Fairfield; 5 grandchildren: Christopher (June) HOLMER, Jacqueline (Eric) STADTLANDER, Josh (Jerica) CORNELIUS, John CORNELIUS, Sara (Derick) CLARK and 10 great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 A.M. Monday at Raymond Funeral Home in Fairfield.

The family will receive friends on Monday from 10:00 A.M. until 11:00 A.M.

Interment will be in the McDowell Cemetery, north of Fairfield.

Memorials have been designated to the American Cancer Society.

Arrangements are in the care of the Raymond Funeral Home in Fairfield.
