Ledger news editorCOPPOCK - One man was killed and two others were injured in a car accident Saturday morning in Jefferson County.
Jacob Aaron NELSON, 21, of Lockridge, was pronounced dead at the scene according to a press release from the Iowa State Patrol...
... The vehicle was traveling west on 110th Street just west of Yew Avenue, near Coppock, at 1:36 a.m. Saturday. The Iowa State Patrol's report indicated the driver of the vehicle lost control, causing the vehicle to leave the roadway, roll and come to rest on its top in the bottom of a ditch embankment on the north side of 110th Street.
Iowa State Trooper Rob White was assigned to investigate the case. White said today he was not at liberty to discuss many details of the case since it's still under investigation. He said he had not had a chance to speak with either of the two injured men.
