William "Bill" WONDERLICH, 75, of Ollie, died Monday, Feb. 6, 2017, at the Knoxville Rehabilitation Center in Knoxville (note: in Marion Co., IA).
The funeral was Feb. 10 at Fremont Funeral Chapel in Fremont, with the Rev. Frosty Van Voorst officiating.
Burial was in Ollie Cemetery (note: in Keokuk Co., IA).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to Mr. WONDERLICH's family to be designated later.
Mr. WONDERLICH was born March 25, 1941, at the family farm north of Ollie, to Raymond and Clara FRITCHEN WONDERLICH. He married Margaret STARR July 23, 1961, at Ollie Methodist Church in Ollie.
He graduated from Ollie High School in 1959.
Mr. WONDERLICH was the third generation of WONDERLICHs to farm the family farm, which was homesteaded in Jackson Township in 1849.
His pastimes were fishing and hunting. He enjoyed antique tractors, visiting with people, going West to buy cattle and fishing trips to Canada.
Survivors include: his wife; son, Billy (Jane) WONDERLICH; daughter, Kathy WONDERLICH of Indianola; one grandson; brother, Jim WONDERLICH of Ollie; and sister, Laura TUCKER of Bondurant.
He was preceded in death by: his parents; and one grandson.
