Sheila M. Hamberg, 57, of Keosauqua died at 1 a.m. Monday, Dec. 13, 2004, at Van Buren County Hospital in Keosauqua.

The funeral will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Keosauqua United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Bryon Wixom officiating. Burial will be in Purdom Cemetery in Keosauqua.

Visitation will open at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Pedrick Funeral Home in Keosauqua, with family present from 4-5 p.m. and 7-8 p.m.

A celebration of her life will begin at 6 p.m. Friday at Town and Country Tavern in Keosauqua.

Memorials to a project at Riverview Club can be left at the funeral home or mailed to the family at 306 Chestnut, Keosauqua 52565.

Mrs. Hamberg was born Oct. 16, 1947, in Ottumwa, the daughter of Donald E. and Dorothy Mae Finney Greenfield. She married Charles Newlon, who later died. She married Cecil W. Hamberg Feb. 14, 1992, in Keosauqua.

She was reared in Douds, graduated from Van Buren High School and lived her adult life in Keosauqua. She was employed by Archie's Market and was senior bookkeeper at Community First Bank for many years. With her husband, she owned and operated Hamberg's Auto in Birmingham and Town and Country Tavern in Keosauqua.

She was a member of Riverview Club in Keosauqua. She enjoyed golfing and bowling and played on Tillie's Pool League.

Survivors include her husband; one son, Scott Newlon of Blue Springs, Mo.; one daughter, Jody Newlon of New London; her mother and stepfather, Dorothy and James Draper of Keosauqua; three brothers, Dennis Greenfield and Herbert Greenfield, both of Ottumwa, and Allen Draper of Loveland, Texas; and one sister, Theresa Arnett of Fountain, Co.

She was preceded in death by her father.
