Amy Jo ESSARY

Amy Jo ESSARY formally (sic - formerly) of Fairfield passed away peacefully in her home in Cedar Rapids, IA Sunday, February 5, 2017.

Open Visitation will start afternoon (sic) 1:00pm - 5:00 pm, February 9th 2017 at Behner Funeral Home, in Fairfield IA.

Visitation with family present will be 9:00AM - 10:30 AM, Friday, February 10, 2017 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Fairfield, Iowa.

Funeral Mass will follow at 10:30AM, Friday, February 10, 2017 at St. Mary Catholic Church with father Nick Adam officiating. Burial will be at Fell Cemetery in Libertyville.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established. Cards and memorials may be mailed to: Jim DEUTSCH & Barb HAMMES, 117 Cardinal Dr., Fairfield, IA 52556.

Amy was born April 11, 1971 in Fairfield, Iowa to Jim & Roxie (CREEK) DEUTSCH.

Amy lived most of her life in the Fairfield area. She attended Beauty School in Ft. Madison, IA. Amy worked as a cashier at Jim's Jack and Jill during high school where she got to know practically everyone in town. She later worked at Telegroup in Fairfield. She also owned and operated Curves for Women in Washington, IA. She enjoyed shopping, craft shows, cooking and bingo. Her children and family were the most important part of her life.

Amy's survived by her husband Jason and her son Dagen ESSARY, parents Jim DEUTSCH & Barb HAMMES, Father and Mother In Law Donny & Virginia ESSARY, and sisters Laura (John) MINEART, Jamie (Rob) KELLER, Amanda (Nick Ward) DEUTSCH and Mike (Shelly) ESSARY; nieces & nepews Kaitlyn (her two children Zaeden and Zella), Jacob and Madison MINEART, Riley, Brook & Avery KELLER, Brendan & Jamie MILLER and Brianna, Nichole and Macy ESSARY.

She was preceded in death by her daughter Haley, mother Roxie DEUTSCH; mother in law Virginia WEAVER and grandparents Benny & Millie CREEK and Joe and Margaret DEUTSCH.
