Ruth Ann SCHADT, 72, of Brighton, died Saturday morning, Jan. 21, 2017, at Jefferson County Health Center in Fairfield.
The funeral will be 2:30 p.m. Thursday at Brighton United Church, with the Rev. Rick Zickefoose officiating. A private family burial will be at a later date.
Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at Gould Funeral Home in Brighton.
Memorials for Brighton Volunteer First Responders can be left at the funeral home or church.
Mrs. SCHADT was born Feb. 18, 1944, in Davenport, the daughter of Harry and Ruth Louise DAVIS BROWN. She married Roger SCHADT Sept. 8, 1962, in Davenport. He died Aug. 9, 1997.
Mrs. SCHADT was raised in Davenport and graduated from Davenport High School.
She and her husband moved to Brighton in 1971. She worked at Brighton Locker and, for over 20 years, at McCleery Cummings Company in Washington, Iowa.
She was a member of ABATE of Iowa Chapter 14 and Women of the Wings. Her pastimes included quilting and crocheting.
Survivors include: three children, Darby DAWSON with Bobby of Washington, Tedra SCHADT of Las Vegas and Daymun SCHADT with Cassandra of Brighton; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren;, (sic) four brothers, Tom BROWN, Kevin BROWN, Monte BROWN and Mark BROWN, all of Davenport; and two sisters, Sandy HENDERSON and Jolene FOY, both of Davenport.
She was preceded in death by: her parents; husband; infant daughter, Juli Ann; two brothers, Richard BROWN and infant Harry BROWN Jr.; and two sisters, Pamela PENDLETON and infant Jacqueline BROWN.
