Katheryn D. DAVIS, 95, of Fairfield, died Friday, Jan. 6, 2017, at Parkview Care Center in Fairfield.

The funeral will be 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at First United Methodist Church in Fairfield.

The family will receive friends 12:30-1:30 p.m. Wednesday at the church.

Raymond Funeral Home in Fairfield is assisting the family with arrangements.

Katheryn D. DAVIS

Katheryn D. DAVIS, 95, of Fairfield, died Friday, Jan. 6, 2017, at Parkview Care Center in Fairfield.

The funeral will be 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at First United Methodist Church in Fairfield, with the Rev. Todd Holman officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery in Fairfield.

The family will receive friends from 12:30-1:30 p.m. Wednesday at the church, one hour prior to the funeral.

Memorials can be directed to First United Methodist Church in Fairfield.

Raymond Funeral Home in Fairfield is assisting with arrangements.

Mrs. DAVIS was born May 6, 1921, in Fairfield, the daughter of Albert Douglas and Clarian E. WOLETT ARMSTRONG. She married Melvin F. DAVIS July 19, 1949, at First Methodist Church in Fairfield. He died March 28, 2003.

A lifetime resident of the Fairfield community, she attended Center No. 5 and graduated from Fairfield High School in 1938.

She worked as a bookkeeper for 50 years for several businesses in Fairfield, retiring in 1991 from the Jefferson County Recorder's office.

She was a member of First United Methodist Church, the Debra Circle, D.A.R., Fairfield Weakenders and several card clubs.

Survivors include: one son, Roger E. DAVIS of Ankeny.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents.
