Clifford Fredrick BROWN

Clifford Fredrick BROWN, 77, died about 1 p.m. Monday, Dec. 26, 2016, at his home.

A celebration of life is planned 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Jan. 28 at the Birmingham Lions Building in Birmingham.

Behner Funeral Home in Fairfield is assisting with arrangements.

Mr. BROWN was born April 15, 1939, the son of Fred and Beryl BONNET BROWN. He married Lola TONKINSON in April 1964. They later divorced.

Mr. BROWN graduated from Birmingham High School in 1957.

He started working in the construction field right after high school and continued working for various companies throughout his life. His last employer was DeLong Construction.

Survivors include: one son, Terry BROWN; two stepdaughters, Patsy SKAGGS and Bonnie WATSON; and six grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by: his parents; one sister, Barbara "Shorty" FITZWATER; and lifelong partner, Ruth E. Countryman.
