AIda Lucille COX, of Elgin, Ill., died April 10, 1998, in Mesa, Ariz.
She was born in Fairfield, Iowa to Burton and Charlotte WATSON ASHE. She lived most of her life in Brighton, then moved to Richland where she graduated from high school. She had been a resident of Elgin since 1952. She worked with her husband Leo in the Leo R. Cox Insurance Agency. They owned and operated Leo's Friendly Store in Hayesville for many years. She was a member of the Elgin Church of the Nazarene.
She is survived by her husband; a daughter, Cynthia COX; a son, Daniel COX; six grandchildren; a brother, Richard ASHE; and two sisters, Leora DAY of Ollie and Roselyn KRIER.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Services were held Thurs., April 23 in the Elgin Church of the Nazarene, the Revs. Brian Wagler and Robert Clark officiating. Burial was in the River Valley Memorial Gardens, West Dundee, Ill.
