Bonnie R. Conrad, 77, of Washington, Iowa, and formerly of Brighton, died at 11:13 p.m. Friday, Nov. 19, 2004, at Washington County Hospital in Washington following a brief illness.

The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Gould Funeral Home in Brighton, with the Rev. Kitch Shatzer officiating. Burial will be in Hillcrest Cemetery in Brighton.

Open visitation began today at the funeral home. Family will be present from 6-7:30 p.m.

A memorial has been established to Washington Care Center.

Miss Conrad was born Aug. 4, 1927, in Keota, the daughter of Cyril R. and Anna Schultz Conrad.

She attended school in Keota and Brighton. She lived most of her life in Brighton until moving to Washington in 1984. She resided at Washington Care Center from 1999 until her death. She had been employed as a housekeeper, laundress and babysitter.

Survivors include one brother, Ronald "Mac" Conrad of Washington; two sisters, Marolyn Shirkey of Harper and Dolores Pacha of Richland; and special friend Frank Caldwell of Washington.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one infant brother; one half brother; and one sister, Betty Drish.
