Roger Lee McPhail, 51, of 807 W. Taylor St., died at 2:28 p.m. Monday, Nov. 15, 2004, at Jefferson County Hospital after a long illness.

A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at St. Gabriel and All Angels Liberal Catholic Church, with words of comfort by Rich Hall. Burial of cremains will be at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials to the New Beginning Recovery Center or Nelson Nursing Home Van Fund.

Condolences can be sent to the family at 1706 Linden Ave., Unit A, Fairfield, 52556.

Mr. McPhail was born July 9, 1953, in Harrisburg, Ill., the son of Philip and Ruby Odum McPhail.

Before moving to Fairfield four months ago, he lived in Herrin, Ill.

He enjoyed listening to music.

Survivors include his mother; and one sister, Deborah Williamson of Fairfield.

He was preceded in death by his father.
