Allegra M. "Lee" Cooney, 80. of Hopkins, Minn., and formerly of Fairfield, died Tuesday, Nov. 9, 2004, at Hopkins Care Center in Hopkins.

A funeral Mass was celebrated Friday at St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church in Cedar Rapids, with Monsignor Karl Glovik and the Rev. James Blocklinger officiating. Burial was in St. Michael Cemetery in Holbrook.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Duncombe Volunteer Fire Department in Duncombe, or St. John Catholic School in Hopkins.

Condolences can be sent to Bernard Cooney at St. Therese SW, Apt. 908, 1011 Feltl Court, Hopkins, MN 55343.

Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service in Cedar Rapids was in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Cooney was born Nov. 8, 1924, in Keswick, the daughter of Peter and Elizabeth Clark Clubb. She married Bernard "Barney" Cooney Jan. 21, 1947, in Richland.

She lived in Fairfield for several years, where she was employed as office nurse by the late Dr. K.G. Cook. She resided in Saint Therese assisted living center in Hopkins prior to her death.

Survivors include her husband; two sons, John Cooney and wife Brenda of Hopkins and Phil Cooney and wife Julie of Duncombe; six grandchildren; three brothers, Roger Clubb of Keosauqua, Gordon Clubb and Larry Clubb; and four sisters, Peggy Derby of Richland, Margaret Teeter of Fairfield, Joan Grimm and Doris Owing.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and three brothers, Russell, Rodney and Forrest Clubb.
