Freda Marie Carr Wyckoff, 101, of Sigourney and formerly of Fairfield, died at 2:45 a.m. Sunday, Nov. 14, 2004, at Manor House Care Center in Sigourney.

The funeral will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Raymond Funeral Home in Fairfield, with the Rev. Harlan Van Voorst officiating. Burial will be in Packwood Cemetery.

Open visitation will be from 9 a.m to 7 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

A memorial has been established to American Diabetes Association.

Mrs. Wyckoff was born Sept. 20, 1903, near Abingdon, the daughter of Bersie R. and Ida Virginia Sharp Carr. She married Snowden A. Wyckoff Aug. 18, 1920, in Ottumwa. He died Feb. 12, 1976.

She lived in the Packwood community until moving to Fairfield in 1950. She was a homemaker and a housewife.

Mrs. Wyckoff was a member of Packwood First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ).

Survivors include three daughters, Marty Jones of Fremont, Calif., Lorry Simmons and husband Dick of Fairfield and Kay Ehrhardt of Fairfield; 17 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandson.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Carroll Wyckoff; one daughter, Darlene Johnson; one granddaughter; one brother, Cloyce Carr; and one sister Velda Wallin.
