CAROLINE REDER was born in Jefferson Co., near Brighton, April 15, 1848,
where she grew to womanhood, leaving there at the age of nineteen. She came
to Chariton July 4, 1867 and was married to JACOB YENGEL, of this city, May
14, 1868, where they have since resided. They were the parents of six
children, one dying in infancy; the remaining five being present on this sad
occasion. MRS. YENGEL had been in poor health for some time and had only
returned from the south two weeks prior to her death, where she had gone
hoping to be benefitted.

On Tuesday of the last week she was stricken with paralysis, causing heart
failure; she died Tuesday, Dec. 18, 1906, at the age of 58 years, 7 months
and 3 days. Funeral services were held this afternoon at the home of her
daughter, MRS. LIZZIE PENICK, at 2 o'clock, conducted by Rev. Hakes of the
Episcopal Church and interment made in the Chariton Cemetery.

Besides her children she leaves a husband, three sisters and one brother,
and a large circle of friends to mourn the loss of a devoted wife, mother, sister and neighbor.
