Gary M. CARLSON

Gary M. CARLSON, 59, of Mount Zion, died Thursday morning, Oct. 6, 2016, at home.

Visitation will open at 3 p.m. Monday at Pedrick Funeral Home in Keosauqua, with family present 5-7 p.m., with tributes by the family at 6:30 p.m. Cremation will follow the visitation, with private disposition of the cremains at a later date. Memorial gifts to the family to help with final expenses can be left at the funeral home or mailed to the family at 2264 Yucca Ave., Ainsworth 52201.

Mr. CARLSON was born Jan. 14, 1957, in Ottawa, Illinois, the son of Richard and Melvonna REYNOLDS CARLSON.

He grew up in Davenport and lived many years in Mount Zion. He was an over-the-road truck driver and his last employer was 5D Express in Keosauqua.

He loved riding his Harley Davidson (sic - Harley-Davidson) motorcycle, driving trucks and spending time with his family.

Survivors include: his girlfriend, Jennifer Jones of the home; four daughters, Michelle ROGERS of Moss Point, Mississippi, Brandi CARLSON with Ron Varner of Farmington, Maggie CARLSON with Halsey Hunt of Morley, and Nicole LaCOMPTE of Farmington; two sons, Gary CARLSON Jr. with Jill McNurlen of Keota and Michael BARROWS of Farmington; his step-mother, Ann CARLSON of Keosauqua; 12 grandchildren, one great-granddaughter; two sisters, Peggy ZEGHOUANI of Sarnia, Ontario, Canada, and Dena RARICK of Ainsworth; and three brothers, Robert CARLSON of Bettendorf, Ron CARLSON and William CARLSON, both of Mount Zion.

He was preceded in death by: his parents; and one sister, Linda FISHER.
