Bruce M. STANLEY, 57, of Cedar Rapids, peacefully passed away on Friday, September 2, 2016.
A memorial service will be held 11:00 am, Saturday, Setember 10, 2016, at the Cedar Memorial Chapel of Memories in Cedar Rapids, the family will receive relatives and friends one hour prior to the service, beginning at 10:00 am.
Interment will be held at Memorial Lawn Cemetery in Fairfield, Iowa at 2:30 pm, Saturday, September 10, 2016.
Memorials may be directed to the family and sent in care to Cedar Memorial Funeral Home, 4200 1st Ave NE, Cedar Rapids, Iowa 52402.
Bruce was born on March 31, 1959, to Marvin L. and Mary CONNELLY STANLEY, in Fairfield, Iowa. He attended Fairfield High School and graduated with the class of 1977, he continued his education at Coe College in Cedar Rapids.
Bruce's life revolved around music, he was a talented percussionist and guitarist playing with local bands, he worked for several music companies, including, 16th Avenue Music and Relic Records both of Cedar Rapids. He was employed by Siegel's Jewelers in Cedar Rapids at the time of his passing.
He had a passion for animals, enjoyed spending time with his friends, and was a lifelong fan of the St. Louis Cardinals.
Bruce was a kindhearted person who touched many lives and influenced many people with his dedication and love for music. He was a great friend.
He will be missed by his mother, Mary CONNELLY STANLEY of St. Charles, Missouri; sister, Barbara (Riley) BOWLIN of St. Charles Missouri, his nephews, great niece, aunts, uncle, cousins, and a large family of friends.
He is preceded in death by his father, infant sister, Mary Beth, and grandparents.
