Wilma Gene PRATT

Wilma Gene PRATT, 89, of Fairfield, died Monday, Aug. 29, 2016, at SunnyBrook Living Care Center in Fairfield.

The funeral will be 2 p.m. Thursday at Behner Funeral Home in Fairfield, with the Rev. Frosty Van Voorst officiating. Burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery in Fairfield.

Visitation for family and friends will be 1-2 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

Memorials can be made to The American Diabetes Association. Cards and memorials can be mailed to Sharon BROWN, 506 E. Broadway Ave., Fairfield 52556. Online condolence can be made at www.behnerfh.com.

Mrs. PRATT was born May 20, 1927, in Revere, Missouri, the daughter of Harve and Effie HORTON EDLEN. She married James "Earl" PRATT March 23, 1947, in Luray, Missouri. He died March 23, 2003 (sic - May 23, 2003).

Mrs. PRATT was a longtime resident of Fairfield. She was a housewife, and held different positions at Sheaffer Pen in Fort Madison, Universal Producing Co., and American Chain and Cable, both in Fairfield.

She was a member of American Legion Auxiliary Post 147 of Stockport, Heritage Club of Fairfield, and Friendly Folks of Stockport. She enjoyed fishing, playing cards, embroidery, bingo, and spending time with family and friends.

Mrs. PRATT was a member of the Christian Church of Peaksville, Missouri.

Survivors include: three children, Sharon BROWN and husband Ron of Fairfield, Linda SYFERT and husband Ardie of Four Seasons, Missouri, and David PRATT and wife Becky of West Jordan, Utah; eight grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Ilda FRAZIER of St. Louis and Betty McGUINNESS of Kahoka, Missouri.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by: her parents; one infant great-grandson; one sister, Eva EDLEN; and one brother, Lewis EDLEN.
