Ralph L. OSBORNE Jr., 69, of Brighton, died Wednesday morning, Aug. 10, 2016, at his home.

Arrangements are pending at Gould Funeral Home in Brighton.

Ralph Leroy OSBORNE Jr.

Ralph Leroy OSBORNE Jr., 69, of Brighton, died Wednesday morning, Aug. 10, 2016, at his home.

The body was cremated, and a memorial service will be 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at Gould Funeral Home in Brighton, with the Rev. Larry Black officiating.

Visitation, with the family, will be 6-7:30 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.

General memorials can be left at the funeral home or mailed to Michelle ROSEMAN, PO Box 21, Brighton 52540.

Mr. OSBORNE was born Jan. 7, 1947, in Washington, Iowa, the son of Ralph and Beulah E. McAVOY OSBORNE.

His early years were spent in Coppock, then the family moved to Wayland. He graduated from Waco High School in 1966.

Mr. OSBORNE served with the U.S. Army in Vietnam.

He worked for Burlington Northern Railroad for many years.

Survivors include: fiancé, Evelyn YORK of Brighton; three children, Bradley OSBORNE of Lincolnton, North Carolina, Courtney OSBORNE of Richland, and Cory OSBORNE of Brighton; one brother, Robert OSBORNE of Davenport; three step-daughters, Kary CLARK of Burlington, Michelle ROSEMAN of Brighton and Jessica SCHREINER of Colona, Illinois; five grandchildren; and 15 step-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by: his parents; one grandchild; and two sisters, Cheryl Lynn HOWARD and Mary Lou SWAILES.
