Kelly Amanda SWYGARD, 28, of Fairfield, died Sunday, July 31, 2016, as the result of an auto accident in Lee County.
Cremation will be accorded and a gathering and celebration of life will be at a later date.
Memorials for her daughter Lana's care can be sent to Nell SWYGARD, 105 W. Adams Ave., Fairfield 52556. Online condolences can be left at www.raymondfuneralhomes.com.
Raymond Funeral Home in Fairfield is assisting the family with arrangements.
Miss SWYGARD was born Sept. 19, 1987, in Miami, Florida, the daughter of Timothy SWYGARD and Ibelisse SUAREZ.
She was a lifetime resident of Fairfield.
She graduated from Fairfield High School in 2005. She was an All-State choir singer.
She earned an associates degree from Indian Hills Community College as an electrician.
Miss SWYGARD was employed at Verizon in Fairfield.
Survivors include: one daughter, Lana Lee WHITE of Fairfield; her mother, Ibelisse SUAREZ of Cummings, Georgia; her father, Timothy SWYGARD of Miami, Florida,; four siblings, Kassandra and Thomas SWYGARD, Shelby RUPE and Gabriella HESSELTINE; and her paternal grandmother, Nell SWYGARD of Fairfield.
She was preceded in death by: her maternal grandmother; and paternal grandfather.

Front PageFairfield woman dies in crash
FORT MADISON - A Fairfield woman died in a car accident Sunday, which also sent another woman to the hospital.
The Iowa State Patrol reported Kelly SWYGARD, 28, was killed just after 3 a.m. on Highway 2 near mile marker 252 in Lee County. She was pronounced dead at the scene. Sydney Fisher, 25, was transported to Fort Madison Community Hospital and later taken by ambulance to the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City (note: in Johnson Co., IA).
SWYGARD and Fisher were passengers in a vehicle that was traveling west on Highway 2. According to Iowa State Patrol's accident report, the vehicle dropped off the road onto the north shoulder, then its driver overcorrected, causing the vehicle to slide across the highway into the ditch. Upon encountering a driveway, the vehicle became airborne and ultimately came to rest on its top. ...
