Evelyn D. QUAYLE, 85, of Mt. Pleasant and formerly of Lockridge, died Tuesday, July 26, 2016, at New London Specialty Care in New London (note: in Henry Co., IA).

Funeral arrangements are pending at Murphy Funeral Home in Mt. Pleasant.

Evelyn D. QUAYLE

Evelyn D. QUAYLE, 85, of Mt. Pleasant and formerly of Lockridge, died Tuesday, July 26, 2016, at New London Specialty Care in New London.

The funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Lockridge Baptist Church, with the Rev. Earl Swigart officiating. Burial will be in Salem East Cemetery at Salem (note: in Henry Co., IA).

The family will receive friends from 9:30 a.m. until time of service Saturday at the church.

A memorial has been established to Lockridge Baptist Church. Online condolences can be sent to the family at www.murphyfuneralandmonuments.com.

Murphy Funeral Home of Mt. Pleasant is handling the arrangements.

Mrs. QUAYLE was born Feb. 21, 1931, in Henry County, the daughter of Charles William and Daisy SCOTT VAN WINKLE. She married John J. QUAYLE March 4, 1950, in Mt. Pleasant. He died July 27, 2001.

Mrs. QUAYLE worked in housekeeping at Pleasant Manor Care Center in Mt. Pleasant and worked alongside of her husband.

She was a member of the Lockridge Baptist Church in Lockridge.

Survivors include: her children, Jim QUAYLE and wife Kristen of Mt. Pleasant and Jerry FULLER of Salem; seven grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents.
