Harold Leroy "Bud" Hagans

Harold Leroy "Bud" Hagans, 74, of Fairfield, died at 7 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 20, 2004, at Jefferson County Hospital.

The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at the VFW in Fairfield. The body has been cremated.

Mr. Hagans was born in Fairfield to Verle and Georgia Miles Hagans.

He was a lifelong resident of Fairfield.

Mr. Hagans served in the Army during the Korean War. He worked at Fairfield Engineering for more than 20 years.

Survivors include one son, Douglas Lee Hagans and wife Deb of Illinois; two grandchildren; two sisters, Barbara Sell of Fairfield, and Carol Branstetter of East Pleasant Plain; and two brothers, Jack Hagans of Fairfield and Richard Hagans of Brighton.

He was preceded in death by his parents and four sisters, Maxine Holmes, Violet Scotten, Shirley Wolverton and Dixie Hagans; and step-father Paul Hagans.
