Barbara Sue McGlothlen, 66, died Saturday, Oct. 16, 2004, at Oregon Health Sciences University Hospital in Portland, Ore.

The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at Burns Mortuary Chapel in Hermiston, Ore. Burial will follow at Hermiston Cemetery in Hermiston.

Mrs. McGlothlen was born Nov. 7, 1937, in Ottumwa, the daughter of Elmore Eugene and Helen Florence Stater Myers. She married Gary McGlothlen Dec. 29, 1963, in Fairfield. They later divorced.

She grew up in Fairfield and graduated from Fairfield High School in 1955. She was employed as an office manager and certified occupancy specialist. She moved to Hermiston in 2000.

She was a member of Grace Baptist Church in Hermiston.

She enjoyed spending time with her family.

Survivors include one daughter, Elizabeth Ballard of Hermiston; one son, John McGlothlen of Cedar Rapids; two granddaughters; and one sister, Donna Simmons of Fairfield.

She was preceded in death by her parents.
