Harvey W. ECKWALL, 75, well-known Salina farmer, died last night at the Jefferson county hospital. A life-long resident of Jefferson county, he had been in failing health for a year and seriously ill for a week.
ECKWALL’s farm home is located three miles southeast of Salina. He spent most of his life in the Salina area.
Funeral services will be held Monday at 2 p. m. at the Weston Behner Funeral home in charge of the Rev. S. P. Williamson. Burial will be in Evergreen cemetery.
ECKWALL was born in Jefferson county May 24, 1876, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Frederick ECKWALL. He was married to Minnie W. JOHNSON Nov. 27, 1907. She preceded him in death Jan. 14, 1949. ECKWALL was a member of the Odd Fellows lodge in Salina.
Survivors include the following children: Mrs. Fern WINSLOW, Ervin ECKWALL, Milo ECKWALL, all of Fairfield, and Mrs. Shirley BENDT, Rock Island, Ill. Five grandchildren and two half sisters also survive.
