Ward Frank RAMSEY III

Ward Frank RAMSEY, 61, of Fairfield, IA, passed peacefully Wednesday May 18, 2016 surrounded by his family. He was born March 26, 1955 in Beaufort, SC and was the son of the late Ward Frank RAMSEY II and the late Patricia Anne THRASHER. He is survived by his wife Delores JOHNSON of Fairfield, his children Brittany and Brady CASWELL of Sedona, Arizona and Knoxville, Tennessee, his siblings Jon Perry (Kathleen) RAMSEY of West Palm Beach, Jamie RAMSEY (Michael) KUBEK of Lake Park, FL, and Fredric Scott (Marijana) RAMSEY of Jensen Beach, FL. Also surviving are Frank's nieces and nephews Meghan, Matthew, Zachary and Rachel RAMSEY, great nieces Greta RAMSEY and Mia GORORDO, his uncles Dr. James W. THRASHER and Patrick A. THRASHER, step sister Jessica SNELL of Tennessee, many cousins and countless friends he considered as family. He was preceded in death by his step father Herschell O. THOMPSON.

Frank graduated from Ft. Pierce Central High School in 1973 and went on to serve in the Army and was stationed in Bad Kissengen, Germany. He also served as a Firefighter in Ft. Pierce, FL. Frank was a painting contractor for many years before returning to college at Maharishi University of Management and graduating in 2007 with a Bachelor's degree in Vedic Science and Sustainable Living. Most recently, Frank enjoyed a career as a land agent in the wind farm agency.

Frank lived life to the fullest. He was a loyal and devoted husband, brother, father, uncle and friend. For Frank, the most precious gifts in his life were his wife, family and many friends. All that knew Frank will deeply miss his larger than life persona, his fantastic sense of humor, courage, and generosity of spirit, and his unique ability to set aside his own challenges in life and uplift his family and friends.

A Celebration of his life will be held Sunday May 22, 1 pm at Behner Funeral Home in Fairfield. All are invited to contribute their special memories of Frank at his online memorial available at Skymorials.com
