Jim Lamson, 99, of Peoria, Ariz., and formerly of Fairfield, died Tuesday, Oct. 5, 2004, in Peoria.

Cremains will be buried beside his wife in Evergreen Cemetery in Fairfield.

Mr. Lamson was born in 1905 in Fairfield, the son of Ralph and Mary Lamson.

He served as vice president of Fairfield Glove Company, now Fairfield Line, from the early 1940s until his retirement. He and his wife moved to Sun City, Ariz., in 1985.

He was chairman of Parsons College board of trustees for several years and served as president of Iowa State Manufacturers Association.

He enjoyed golf, hunting and spending time with friends.

Survivors include one son, Jeff Lamson of Des Moines; two granddaughters; and four great-grandchildren.
