Rites set for Eva R. COOK

Eva R. COOK, 54, died about 5 a.m. today at her home, 811 W. Broadway. She had been in failing health the past six months.

Graveside services are tentatively set for 11 a.m. Wednesday in Evergreen Cemetery with the Raymond Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Visitation will be from 7 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Eva COOK family.

Eva COOK was born July 30, 1929, in Fairfield. She was the daughter of Charles and Jenny HAVNER EDLER. She married Alvy COOK Oct. 11, 1947, at Albert Lee (sic - Albert Lea), Minn.

They lived in Davenport for 25 years before moving to Fairfield in 1972. He preceded her in death Sept. 1, 1977. She was also preceded in death by her parents and a sister.

Surviving are four sons: Roger, Rocky and Renny COOK, all of Fairfield; Randy, Davenport. Other survivors include four grandchildren, two brothers, Rex EDLER, Ottumwa, and Lester EDLER, Davenport; three sisters, Ester KEEN and Maxine JACKSON, West Burlington and Wanda EDLER, Fairfield.

CARD OF THANKS

The family of James E. COOK wish to thank all the friends, relatives and neighbors who have shown their love in our time of sorrow. For food, flowers, memorials and the many considerate acts of kindness, we thank you. We'd also like to thank Red Cross, VFW, and the American Legion. A special thanks to Charlie Neil and Rusty Koch.
