Doris 'Smokey' Kay WHITE

Doris "Smokey" Kay WHITE, 60, of "Richland died at 4:14 a.m. Sunday, March 27, 2016, at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City.

In accordance with her wishes, the body has been cremated and no services are planned. Private interment of cremains will be at a later date in the Friends Cemetery in Richland (note: in Keokuk Co., IA).

Memorials to University of Iowa Holden Comprehensive Cancer Center can be mailed to the family at PO Box 341, Richland 52585.

Pedrick Funeral Home in Keosauqua is assisting the family.

Mrs. WHITE was born Aug. 13, 1955, in Le Claire, the daughter of Myron S. and Eunice E. IRELAN FETTTERS. She married Richard WHITE in Memphis; they later divorced.

Mrs. WHITE grew up in Davis County and attended Davis County Schools. Her early married life was spent in Wapello and Keokuk counties, where she worked at many different factory jobs.

For the last 25 years, she resided in Richland with her longtime companion, Finley MONDIA.

Mrs. WHITE loved animals, especially her dog, Jake. She also enjoyed gardening and fishing.

Survivors include: her companion, Finley MONDIA of Richland; one daughter, Chris MONDIA of Richland; two sons, Travis MONDIA of Richland and Davin MONDIA and wife April of Richland; four grandchildren; and two sisters, Deb BARNES of Eldon and Sharen GOLLAND of Council Bluffs.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Herman and John FETTERS; one sister, Susan WARD; and one grandson.
