George BOYLE

George BOYLE, 89 of Harlingen, Texas, died due to the complications of Alzheimer's disease Saturday, Feb. 20, 2016, in Harlingen.

A memorial service is planned this summer in Fairfield.

Mr. BOYLE was born June 7, 1926, in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, the son of Edward and Della PIERCE BOYLE. He married Mary Margaret TAYLOR of Batavia in 1950. She is deceased.

Mr. BOYLE resided in Fairfield from age 11, until his retirement in 1988, at the age of 62.

He served in the Army during the occupation of Japan and was recalled to duty during the Korean conflict.

Mr. BOYLE was a farmer all of his life. He also worked for Rockwell U-Joint Division in Fairfield from October 1967 until his retirement in October 1988, when he and his wife became "snowbirds."

Survivors include: two daughters, Jean BURKHART and husband Carl of Fairfield and Margaret BALDERAS and husband Manuel of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; three grandchildren; four stepgrandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.

In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by: his parents; and three siblings, Eva FORD, Richard BOYLE and Kenneth BOYLE.
