Helen P. HELTERBRAN

Helen P. HELTERBRAN, 90, of Keosauqua, died at 9:43 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 25, 2016, at home.

The funeral is 11 a.m. Monday at Pedrick Funeral Home in Keosauqua, with the Rev. Mary Kathryn Hart officiating. Burial will be in Hillsboro Cemetery (note: in Van Buren Co., IA).

Visitation with family will be 10-11 a.m. Monday prior to the service at the funeral home.

Memorials to Hillsboro Baptist Church or Hillsboro Cemetery can be left at the funeral home or mailed to the family at 715 Dodge St., Keosauqua 52565.

Mrs. HELTERBRAN was born May 11, 1925, in Keokuk, the daughter of Earl L. and Bessie VAN LANNINGHAN HOUSE. She married Glen E. HELTERBRAN Nov. 28, 1948, at the Hillsboro Baptist parsonage. He died April 6, 2005.

Mr. and Mrs. HELTERBRAN farmed in the Hillsboro-Stockport area.

She moved to Keosauqua in 2009.

Mrs. HELTERBRAN was an active member of Hillsboro Baptist Church.

Survivors include: two sons, Eugene HELTERBRAN and wife Patsy of Keosauqua, and Gary HELTERBRAN and wife Caroline of Hillsboro; five grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and one brother, Samuel HOUSE of Keosauqua.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by: two brothers, Jessie and Bill HOUSE; and two sisters, Irene HOUSE and Marie LANDRITH.
