Elizabeth "Betty" Rose MOTZ, 94, formerly of Fairfield, died today, Thursday, Feb. 11, 2016, at Sunrise Terrace Care Center in Winfield (note: in Henry Co., IA).
The funeral will be 10:30 a.m. Monday at First United Methodist Church in Fairfield, with the Rev. Deborah Stowers officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery in Fairfield.
Visitation for family and friends will be 5-7 p.m. Sunday at Behner Funeral Home in Fairfield.

Mrs. MOTZ was born Nov. 16, 1921, in Indianapolis, Indiana, the daughter of Miles and Ruth DORRELL ANDERSON. She married Francis "Dr. Frank" Lee MOTZ Feb. 11, 1939, in Franklin, Indiana. He died Jan. 28, 1992.
Mrs. MOTZ lived in the Fairfield area since 1941. She worked at Martin's Drug Store and was an assistant to the pastor at First United Methodist Church for 13 years from 1986-1999.
She was a member of United Methodist Women, Lionels and Business & Professional Women.
She volunteered for American Cancer Society and Hospice. In 1998, she received the Volunteer of the Year award for Jefferson County Hospice.
She enjoyed reading and going to Bible studies.
Survivors include: three children, Connie RYNER and husband Denny of Geneseo, Illinois, David MOTZ of Davenport and Joyce MILLER of Mt. Pleasant; four grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; one brother, Jack ANDERSON of Indianapolis; and one sister, Martha KISTLER of Fairfield.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by: her parents; and one brother, Robert ANDERSON.
