Former Local Resident, 83, Was at Home of His Nephew
Nathan B. REGESTER, aged former resident of Fairfield, passed away at the home of his nephew, Howard INGHRAM, in Wichita, Kansas, at 9 o'clock Sunday evening, according to word received by friends here. He was 73 years of age. Funeral arrangements are not complete, but it is expected the body will arrive here for services at the Murray Funeral home Wednesday.
Mr. REGISTER (sic) was well known in Fairfield and in the community north of the city where he made his home on a farm for many years. He moved here with his wife about ten years ago, making his home at 201 West Grimes street. Both were well-known in the Methodist church at Pleasant Grove where they retained their membership after moving to Fairfield.
He was married March 31, 1875, to Sue INGHRAM, who preceded him in death last October. Besides the nephew, Howard, he is survived by another nephew, Cecil VAN NUYS, of Maywood Ill., and the following nieces and nephews who are children of his sister and Mrs. REGESTER's brother, Uriah and Annie GRAHAM - Burrel and Rilla of Colorado, Bert of Davenport, Delda of Chicago, and May DAVIDSON of Agency.
The body will arrive in Fairfield at midnight tonight. The funeral services will be conducted Wednesday at two oclock at the Murray funeral home in charge of Dr. U. S. Smith. Burial will be in Evergreen cemetery.

NATHAN REGESTER
Nathan REGESTER, son of John and Mary CRYSPEN REGESTER (sic), was born in Washington county, Pa., September 7, 1850. He came to Jefferson county, Ia., in 1866, where he lived until a few months previous to his death, which occurred in Wichita, Kans., April 1, 1934 at the home of his adopted son, Howard T. INGHRAM.
He was married to Susan INGHRAM, March 31, 1875. For many years they lived three miles north of Fairfield, where they took an active part in Moyer church and all community activities. About the year of 1924 they moved to 201 West Grimes street, Fairfield. He lived there until seven months before his death, at which time his wife passed away. All who knew Mr. REGESTER appreciated his fine character and genial manner.
He is survived by his adopted son, Howard INGHRAM, and his sister, Cecil INGHRAM VAN NUYS, children of his wife's brother, Thomas INGHRAM. His other nieces and nephews are Rilla LEATHERS, Delda BLAHNEY, Beryl DAVIDSON and Bert INGHRAM.
