Douglas Ray SPICER, 65, of Fairfield, died today, Friday, Jan. 15, 2016, at his home.

Behner Funeral Home in Fairfield is helping the family with arrangements.

Douglas Ray SPICER

Douglas Ray SPICER, 55 (sic), of Fairfield, died of natural causes Friday, Jan. 15, 2016.

Per his request, the body has been cremated. A memorial celebration of life will be from 4-8 p.m. Tuesday at the Fairfield VFW.

Behner Funeral Home is assisting with arrangements.

Mr. SPICER was born April 19, 1950, in Grand Forks, North Dakota, the son of Wilfred "Bud" and Audrey SPICER. He married his wife Carolyn April 22, 1971, in Anoka Minnesota.

Mr. SPICER had a passion for motorcycles, friends and family. He was a carpenter and was good with his hands and had a green thumb. He was known for making apple pie and being a foosball and pool player.

Survivors include: his wife; four children, Tim WOOD and spouse Chris of Minneapolis, Minnesota, Stacy HAMER and spouse Scott of Durango, Colorado, Sarah HAYS and spouse Steve of Midwest City, Oklahoma, and Sam SPICER and spouse Amber of Fairfield; 10 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren, two sisters, Penny FUHR of Seaforth, Minnesota, and Debby SPICER of Tower, Minnesota; and two brothers, Scott SPICER of Marshalltown and Tony SPICER of Williston, North Dakota.

He was preceded in death by: his parents; and brother Gregory SPICER.
