Donald Eugene 'Gene' CROWE

Donald Eugene "Gene" CROWE, 77, of Keosauqua and formerly of rural Milton, died at 9:40 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 16, 2015, at Keosauqua Health Care Center in Keosauqua.

Arrangements are pending at Pedrick Funeral Home in Keosauqua.

Donald Eugene 'Gene' CROWE

Donald Eugene "Gene" CROWE, 77, of Keosauqua and formerly of rural Milton, died at 9:40 p.m. Wednesday Sept. 16, 2015, at Keosauqua Health Care Center, the former Good Samaritan Center, where he had resided since 2009.

The funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Pedrick Funeral Home in Keosauqua, with the Rev. Jerry Caughron officiating. Burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery in Cantril (note: in Van Buren Co., IA).

Visitation, with family present, will be 9:30-10:30 a.m. Wednesday prior to the service.

Memorials to Maple Grove Cemetery can be left at the funeral home or mailed to the family at 4202 Orchard Drive, Galesburg, IL 61401.

Mr. CROWE was born June 23, 1938, in Taylorville, Illinois, the son of Donald T. and Dorothy MOORE CROWE.

As a youth, he moved with his family to the farm north of Lebanon. He graduated from Keosauqua High School, where he was active in Future Farmers of America.

He spent his active life farming with his father.

He was an avid St. Louis Cardinals fan.

Survivors include: one sister, Doris OVERSTREET of Galesburg, Illinois.

He was preceded in death by: his parents; and one sister, Marjorie SAYRE.
