Margaret HULL

Margaret HULL, 101, of Bloomfield and formerly of Douds, died at 11:23 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 10, 2015, at Davis County Hospital in Bloomfield.

Arrangements are pending at Pedrick Funeral Home in Douds.

Margaret HULL

Margaret HULL, 101 of Bloomfield and formerly of Douds, died at 11:23 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 10, 2015, at Davis County Hospital in Bloomfield.

The funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Pedrick Funeral Home in Douds, with the Rev. Mark Young officiating. Burial will be in Leando Cemetery in Douds (note: in Van Buren Co., IA).

Visitation will open at 3 p.m. Tuesday, with family present from 5-7 p.m., at the funeral home.

Memorials to Lebanon Methodist Church or Leando Cemetery can be left at the funeral home or mailed to Christine Turner at 13445 200th Road, Douds 52551.

Mrs. HULL was born Feb. 18, 1914, in Eldon, the daughter of Leo and Edna WILKINSON BUREKER. She was raised by her maternal grandparents, Gideon and Emma WILKINSON. She married Ancel L. HULL Feb. 11, 1933, in Lancaster, Missouri. He died Dec. 2, 1991.

Mrs. HULL grew up on a farm near Eldon and graduated from Eldon High School.

She lived her married life in the Douds community. She attended Lebanon United Methodist Church. She was a gold star sister and 50-year-plus member of John Huson Reneker Unit No. 494, American Legion Auxilary. She served many years as poppy chairwoman for the auxiliary. She also belonged to the Valley Ladies Club, Douds Senior Citizens Group and Douds Community Club.

Survivors include: one half-brother, Elmer ASH of Ajo, Arizona.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by: her parents; stepfather, Harve ASH; grandparents; three brothers, Lloyd, Lawrence and Marvin WILKINSON; two half-brothers, Leroy and Carl ASH; and two half-sisters, Dorothy DAVIS and Delores HALL.
