Donna J. HORNBERG

Donna J. HORNBERG, 76, of Keosauqua died at 4:43 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 30, 2015, at Van Buren County Hospital in Keosauqua.

The funeral will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at Pedrick Funeral Home in Keosauqua, with the Rev. Dave Barrett officiating. Burial will be in Fellows Cemetery in Keosauqua.

Visitation with family will be 1-2 p.m. Wednesday, prior to the service, at the funeral home.

Gifts to a memorial to be designated later by the family can be left at the funeral home or mailed to the family at 16619 Lick Creek Road, Birmingham, 52535.

Mrs. HORNBERG was born Aug. 28, 1939, in Farmington, the daughter of Frank M. and Veda Maxine LENZ COX. She married James HORNBERG Dec. 26, 1957, in Memphis, Missouri. He died Sept. 29, 1969.

Mrs. HORNBERG graduated from Middletown High School. She worked five years at Hotel Manning, 17 years at Barker Wire and 17 years at van Buren County Hospital, all in Keosauqua. She retired Jan. 25, 1999.

She was a member of Keosauqua Congregational Church and more recently had attended Keosauqua Christian Church.

Survivors include: one daughter, Melodie Ann KIRCHNER of Sunrise Beach, Missouri; two sons, Dale M. HORNBERG and wife Kim of Birmingham and Donnie E. HORNBERG of Keosauqua; five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by: her parents; two sisters, Marjorie BARNS and Maxine KING; one brother, Frank COX Jr.; special friend, Lawrence Westhoff; and one son-in-law, Randy KIRCHNER.
