Wayne Eugene DAVIS

Wayne Eugene DAVIS, 82, of Cedar Falls, died Friday, Aug. 7, 2015, at Western Home Communities Windhaven.

The funeral will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at First United Methodist Church in Fairfield. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery in Fairfield.

Visitation will be one hour before the service at the church.

Dahl-Van Hove-Schoof Funeral Home in Cedar Falls is assisting with arrangements.

Mr. DAVIS was born Sept. 28, 1932, in Packwood, the son of Lewis A. and Bessie A. DAVIS DAVIS. He married Nancy Joan EARLEY Sept. 6, 1953, in Fairfield.

Mr. DAVIS graduated from Fairfield High School in 1951. He attended Iowa State University for two years and graduated from University of Iowa with a Bachelor of Science in commerce in 1958.

He was a veteran of the United States Army, serving in the Korean War (sic - Korean Conflict).

He worked as a district manager for Osco Drug for 35 years and retired in 1993.

Survivors include: his wife, Nancy DAVIS of Cedar Falls; one son, Mike DAVIS of Marshalltown; two daughters, Tina DRINKUT and husband Greg of Palm Bay, Florida, and Tam DAVIS of Albuquerque, New Mexico; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; four sisters, Doris ROLAND and Geneva McWHIRTER, both of Burlington, Mary CHAPUIS of Cedar Rapids and Barbara TAYLOR of Fairfield.

He was preceded in death by: his parents; one brother, Dale DAVIS; and two sisters, Juanita SCHAFER and Bernice DURFEY.
